We work side-by-side with youth in the Nambucca Valley and those important to them, designing together innovative and sustainable projects that create connection, well-being, and life-changing opportunities.

Becoming U operates five unique programs that aim to build belief and capacity so that our young people become work-ready, mentally and physically healthy, and connected to opportunities as well as communities.

Our events and activities follow the NSW Government's COVID Safe advice and requirements to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community, staff and volunteers.

THE IMPACT WE WILL CREATE TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY:

  • Significant impact on the young people’s mindset that possibility, opportunity and positive self-belief can grow right here, despite their background, situation or barriers.

  • Young people engaging or re-engaging in learning, finding their purpose or become employed in a field of choice

  • Strengthening our young people, and those important to them, through resilience building co-designed projects, role-modelling leadership and encouraging personal growth, resulting in increased future community capacity

  • The whole community strongly working together towards a shared vision and belief that young people can unleash their potential, given the right nurturing, connections and supportive environment.

BECOMING U’S VISION IS FOR ALL YOUNG PEOPLE TO THRIVE AND PROSPER IN REGIONAL NSW, EQUIPPED WITH THE TOOLS THEY NEED AS THEY GROW INTO ADULTHOOD

Our aim is to build belief and capacity in young people (8-18s) to reach their full potential – work ready, mentally and physically healthy, connected to opportunities as well as communities.

Becoming U operates five unique programs for youth, providing them with opportunities they otherwise wouldn’t have access to.
