We believe in the power of youth as catalysts for change.

Our place-based initiatives are co-designed with young people and those who are important to them, actively involve youth in the decision-making process and cultivate a sense of agency in the shaping of their future.   

Becoming U projects help youth remain engaged in education, be work-ready, be mentally and physically healthy, and connected to opportunities that expand their horizons and deepen their connections with community.  

We believe in the power of community-led initiatives to drive meaningful change. This is made possible through the building of trust, a deep understanding of local challenges and strong dynamic partnerships across many layers of community.  

By empowering youth and community members to take ownership of their stories, ideas and actions, Becoming U provides a vehicle for ongoing youth-directed projects that create positive change within our communities. By ensuring everyone has a voice and a role in shaping our collective future Becoming U strives towards its ultimate goal of community-led governance.
